Flashlight Safari
Third Weekend in October (19 & 20) 2012.
- Friday the 19th – 6-9 pm (Shows at 6, 7, & 8 pm)
- Saturday the 20th – 6-9 pm (Shows at 6, 7, & 8 pm)
Flashlight Safari is an educational Halloween adventure. Learn how nocturnal animals survive in darkness as you explore Reptiland at night by flashlight. Bring a flashlight to see more than forty species of reptiles and amphibians in the comfort of our indoor exhibit gallery. Many of Reptiland’s animals become active only after dark; this is your chance to peek in on their night lives. See alligator eyes reflecting in the beam of your light, and touch live animals – including giant cockroaches.
Make your way to the Program Center where you will see a special live show featuring a great horned owl, giant fruit bat, Norway rat, scorpion, alligator and rattlesnake. And be sure to check out Dinosaurs Come to Life by flashlight. Admission is $14 per person. No free passes will be accepted during Flashlight Safari. This is an event not to be missed!
