Frogs – A Chorus of Colors is a modular traveling exhibition that introduces visitors to the amazing and sonorous world of anurans – the frogs. Although most people have no aversion to frogs, their beauty and elegance are often overlooked. These amphibians are among the most visually stunning, vocally pleasing and adaptively remarkable life forms on earth. If you’ve never thought of frogs as beautiful, this exhibition will change your mind!

Longshot - image wall & graphic & habitat.jpg (25016 bytes)Frogs – A Chorus of Colors is designed to transform an exhibit gallery and offer visitors the feel of a frog’s world. Stunning backlighted graphic panels with colorful images by Joe McDonald, Dave Northcott, John Netherton, Bill Love and other renowned wildlife photographers cover the walls of the exhibition island. Frog habitats, complete with rock ledges, live plants and waterfalls, protrude through the island walls. Living frogs from around the world offer a glimpse of the vast pallet of frog diversity. Sturdy interactive components invite visitors to activate recorded frog Mexican Dumpy frog habitat.jpg (38976 bytes)calls, touch models, view videos of frogs in action, spin a zoetrope, and test frog knowledge on subjects from basic to bizarre. Throughout the exhibition visitors are immersed in the sights and sounds of frogs.

Frogs are challenging to exhibit and hasty attempts with “pet store” aquariums often fail. Frogs – A Chorus of Colors includes self-contained custom habitats that provide lighting, humidity, temperature and water quality control to meet the needs of the exhibit animals and the visiting public. There is no other traveling frog exhibition equal to this one in scope or quality.

The Amazing Adaptable Frog.jpg (23470 bytes)Museums, zoos, science centers, malls and other institutions need exhibitions that attract people. Frogs have more public appeal than ever - consider how many you’ve seen on tee shirts, in magazines, on television and in toy stores. Amphibian exhibits are becoming a major draw at U.S. zoos, aquariums and museums. Frogs – A Chorus of Colors can bring that charisma to your institution.

The exhibition includes 15 frog habitats complete with naturalistic decor, filtration and life support systems; 12 longshot - habitat & image wall.jpg (31863 bytes) interactive components; and over 35 backlighted informative panels. The modular design permits tremendous layout flexibility. The full exhibition requires 2,500 to 5,000 square feet. Smaller versions are available to fit nearly any exhibit space.

Frogs – A Chorus of Colors is a turnkey exhibition. Reptiland supplies the frogs and maintains a backup population. An experienced zoo professional remains with the exhibition to care for the living collection, culture food insects and perform daily maintenance.
