General Information

Reptiland has long been known as an educational and recreational resource for schools and other organizations that endeavor to understand the world's animal diversity. This specialized zoo brings students eyeball to eyeball with some of the world's most misunderstood creatures in an interactive learning environment. The experience explodes common myths and inspires scientific curiosity.

Encounter reptiles and amphibians from around the world on this zoological adventure - mambas, cobras, pythons and many other rare and beautiful snakes; alligators, crocodiles, giant tortoises and various species of lizards, turtles and frogs. An exciting live lecture demonstration and multi-image show explore the close-up world of reptiles and amphibians in a way not possible in larger zoos. Friendly experts answer questions and offer students the opportunity to touch a live alligator or snake. With a spacious indoor exhibit complex and 200-seat Program Center, Reptiland is an ideal year-round field trip destination.

Teachers may request a free educational packet to prepare students for their visit. Please call ahead to schedule a date and time. May is a busy time for groups so make your reservations as far in advance as possible. If you want to avoid the crunch of field trip season consider booking a trip in early spring or fall - September is a great month to visit!
