General Information
Reptiland has long been known as an educational and
recreational resource for schools and other organizations that endeavor to understand the
world's animal diversity. This specialized zoo brings students eyeball to eyeball with
some of the world's most misunderstood creatures in an interactive learning environment.
The experience explodes common myths and inspires scientific curiosity.
Encounter reptiles and amphibians from around
the world on this zoological adventure - mambas, cobras, pythons and many other rare and
beautiful snakes; alligators, crocodiles, giant tortoises and various species of lizards,
turtles and frogs. An exciting live lecture demonstration and multi-image show explore the
close-up world of reptiles and amphibians in a way not possible in larger zoos. Friendly
experts answer questions and offer students the opportunity to touch a live alligator or
snake. With a spacious indoor exhibit complex and 200-seat Program Center, Reptiland is an
ideal year-round field trip destination.
Teachers may request a free educational packet
to prepare students for their visit. Please call ahead to schedule a date and time. May is
a busy time for groups so make your reservations as far in advance as possible. If you
want to avoid the crunch of field trip season consider booking a trip in early spring or
fall - September is a great month to visit!

Dinosaurs Come to Life at Reptiland May 2, 2011 through September 5, 2011. Students will come face to face with realistic, representations of Tyrannosaurus Rex, Dilophosaurus, Chasmosaurus, and many other well known Cretaceous and Jurassic period dinosaurs. Students will not only get to experience these extinct reptile cousins through movement and sound, but will learn how they hunted, protected their young, and defended themselves.
Dinosaurs Come to Life is an outdoor exhibit, containing 8 life-size animatronic dinosaurs and interpretive graphics. Please keep in mind this will increase the average Reptiland visit by about 20 to 30 minutes. The exhibit is open to visitors rain or shine, so students should come dressed for the weather. The dinosaurs have subtle barriers to keep people at a safe distance and students should not touch or attempt to climb on the models. The admission rate for Dinosaurs Come to LIfe is included in your general admission ticket. Group rates are listed below.
